For the past few years, Montreal’s Heavy MTL has had some pretty solid lineups, while last year’s inaugural Heavy T.O. extended the festival to Toronto. And this year’s bill is no different, with System Of A Down, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Lamb Of God and many others confirmed for both festivals, taking place on August 11-12.
At the moment, groups like Killswitch Engage, Cannibal Corpse, Five Finger Death Punch, Between The Buried And Me, Overkill, Periphery, Gojira, Suicidal Tendencies, Protest The Hero, Job For A Cowboy, High On Fire and many other bands have also been confirmed for both festivals. And there’s likely even more bands to be added to the bills as we get closer to August.
Granted, this announcement probably means more to our Canadian readers or fans in the Northeast willing to cross the border to attend the festival. However, with a lineup like this, it’s pretty tempting to go on a road trip to attend one of the two Canadian festivals.
