At the end of last year, we interviewed Corrosion of Conformity’s Pepper Keenan about past albums, Down and his upcoming plans. You can click here to view the interview. With the band’s tour with Lamb of God and Clutch happening now, we asked some questions about what his dream tour as Corrosion of Conformity would consist of. You can view his answers below.
What recently formed or relatively new band would you want to open the show?
Well, we’re doing a dream tour right now. We just picked our favorite bands and brought them with us. We have Mothership, Saviours, and Brant Bjork right now. It’s been killer.
And which band that you’ve known for quite awhile would you want to also be included in the package?
Oh dude, I think we’ve played with about every band I can think of. From Iron Maiden to Metallica and Motorhead. So, just one of the classics.
If you had to pick one song from each album from Corrosion of Conformity’s catalog that you have written for to be included in the setlist, which would they be? So, from the top…
Blind, “Vote with a Bullet”
Deliverance, “Seven Days”
Wiseblood, “Wiseblood”
America’s Volume Dealer, “13 Angels”
In the Arms of God, “Paranoid Opioid”
If there was a surprise guest appearance from another band, who would it be?
[James] Hetfield.
And which three countries would have to included in the run?
Italy, Spain, and Greece.
Any specific venues from those that you would have to perform at?
No, I don’t care.
And lastly, there’s a huge prop backstage that comes out in the middle of your set, what is it?
A big inflatable dragon that would have his tongue roll out.
