If you like extreme sports, Texas and Danish drummers with an aversion for proper bass mixing, look no more and rejoice, because Metallica has been announced to headline the X Games in Austin, TX this year. Until today, the only scheduled date the band had was this past weekend’s Rock In Rio USA festival. This will be the first time the band have played in Austin since their SXSW set in 2009.

The event, consisting on extreme sports competitions like Skateboarding, BMX, Moto X, Rally Racing, eSports, music and more, will take place this June 4-7. Check out the video announcement they did along with Tony Hawk.

If this is your type of event, you can find tickets here and maybe you can also stay catch some of Nikki Minaj’s set. Because she’s also headlining the event.

Black Metal enthusiast from Los Angeles who thought was a good idea to grab a camera and shoot underground shows for the hell of it. Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands and attending Satanic music shows every now and then.
