The mastermind of the animated death metal band Dethklok, Brendon Small, will perform The Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem with collaboration of Anthrax’s Scott Ian and The Paul Green Rock Academy showband in New York this coming July.

The concert will take place a week after a workshop where both musicians will have with the students of the academy at a 4-day camp, where they will be educated in what goes into making metal music: from naming one’s band, to writing songs, arranging the material, performance of said material, the importance of shredding for shredding’s sake and even talking to girls after the show. The show will also include some Anthrax songs and a performance by the students’ own band opening the gig.
