5. Gotham City –

A forgotten heavy metal band from the 80’s, they released an EP and a full length, and were just brilliant. Unfortunately they vanished and was never quite broken free from the underground. Fans of Iron Maiden and early 80’s heavy Metal should definitely check it out. (by vocalist/guitarist David Indelöf)

4. Entombed –

Death metal at its finest. Have always loved them, and it was these guys that got me in to Death Metal. They were also kinda pioneers in what they did, you can hear that on their demo material back when they were called Nihilist. Brutal! (by David Indelöf)

3. ABBA –

Probably the biggest group to ever come out of Sweden and one of the best as well. The amount of killer songs this quartet wrote together is almost ridiculous and probably the only pop artist from Swedish whom can contest with the absolute top of the pops.

2. Candlemass –

THE best Swedish band of all time in my opinion, 3 different eras with different singers yet all the albums are great and really in the top of all doom bands across the globe. Candlemass is one of few bands from Sweden who can actually compete with bands such as Black Sabbath, Pentagram etc. (by bassist Tobias Rosén)

Grooviest band from Sweden who made 3 absolute stunning albums without a single bad track. It’s really hard to find bands who can put out 3 or more albums and not a single filler track, but this group really made top notch music and probably one of the heaviest three-piece bands there is of all time.
