5. Chuck Billy, Scott Ian and others, “Silent Night”
There are a lot of things that make the holiday metal tribute album We Wish You A Metal Xmas And A Headbanging New Year…special. But it’s hard to refrain from laughing when hearing Chuck Billy (Testament), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Jon Donais (Shadows Fall), John Tempesta (ex-White Zombie/ The Cult) and Chris Wyse’s (The Cult) rendition of “Silent Night.” While we appreciate their effort to give the Christmas standard a thrash makeover, Billy’s growling makes the title “Silent Night” ironic (which was obviously the point).
