Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Thy Row’s Ville Vase as he’s been spending this time writing new songs.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

Thy Row has cancelled a few gigs but we have been using our time wisely. We’ve been writing new songs, practicing and also been making final adjustments for upcoming music videos. It’s been hectic. Who would have guessed?

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

Mostly old albums. Nothing new and interesting hasn’t come before me.

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking, including making their own bread. What food have you been prepping during this time?

I’m on a ketogenic diet and when I miss bread I make it like this. Stir 2 eggs and 200 grams of mascarpone. Add 2 decilitres of almond flour, 2 teaspoons of salt, 2 tablespoons of psyllium, 2 teaspoons of baking powder and stir everything together. Wait 15 mins and after that shape it like you want it (with olive oil) and put it in the oven for 30 mins or so. Try it!

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

I watch Love, Death, Robots from Netflix. I like the visuals and the stories. Season 1 was especially great.

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

Stay safe and listen to the instructions for this one. It’s for the health of us and our loved ones.
