Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s pandemic column during the ongoing uncertainty behind COVID-19. We ask artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy during these unprecedented times. We caught up with Primalfrost as they’ve been spending this time going back to school.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

First and foremost, I was able to get the Primalfrost album done. So I took the time to build an isolated sound booth in my closet and do all the tracking from home to send off to mixing and mastering. Since then I’ve gone back to school for Data Analytics and finished my program. I also got to tour Europe playing guitar for Belphegor, but now we’re back to square one with things shutting down again.

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

For sure. A particular band that’s been getting more and more popular as of late is the band Orbit Culture. I love their latest album/last EP, it’s so heavy, well-produced, and sounds like a breath of fresh air for the metal world.

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking, including making their own bread. What food have you been prepping during this time?

This Danish nut-loaf is called stenalderbrod. It’s literally just seeds, nuts, egg, dried fruit, and a bit of seasoning. Literally, a “nutrition brick” that surprisingly tastes good and is super filling.

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

Books on Data Analysis/coding, serial killer documentaries, Howard Stern/Opie & Anthony radio archives, I’m all over the place.

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

Exercise and eat well. It’s tough for everybody right now but the least you can do is attempt to take care of yourself.
