Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

Who is Cardi B? Seriously, I’m not some pop music curmudgeon but every now and again when I look at the charts I see a band or artist at the top that I’ve never heard of before. This week Cardi B is number one and I swear to god I hadn’t heard of hear before a week ago, and now she’s freakin’ everywhere. Well, anywho, the real big deal this week is Underoath, who have returned with their first album in eight years. What’s more, they debuted in the top 5.
