Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.
“Perdida” is Spanish for “lost”, in case you didn’t know. I’m not sure what that has to do with the new Stone Temple Pilots album, but its the top debut for hard rock/metal this week so what’re ya gonna do? What I’m interested in is the performance of Sepultura’s new album. Interestingly, Quadra marks the band’s best first week of sales in nearly 10 years is the 4th highest selling first week the band has had since Derrick Green became the frontman. After 15 albums and 35 years, that’s pretty exciting.
