We haven’t heard anything new about Metallica’s “secret” project with Lou Reed in a while. The band revealed to Rolling Stone that they decided to record songs Reed wrote for Lulu (a theatrical production of stories by the German author Frank Wedekind currently running in Berlin). However, we still don’t know what exactly this collaboration will sound like.

However, the website loureedmetallica.com has just gone live. Though it boasts a “coming soon” banner, the page does feature an Anton Corbijn-esque picture of Metallica posing with the “Take A Walk On The Wild Side” singer.

In other words: stay tuned, there’s a good chance that we’ll get our first taste of Reedtallica very soon. In the mean time, you can check out Metallica’s performance with Reed at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25th Anniversary show after the jump.
