It seems like only yesterday, we mentioned that Randy Blythe of Lamb of God was branching out into acting by appearing in a movie with Chthonic. It looks like that’s not the only acting he’s doing, as he also recently filmed a cameo in a feature being filmed called Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre: The Movie. He’s not the only metal musician appearing in the film, as Slayer’s Tom Araya and Morbid Angel’s David Vincent are also appearing in the film. The film will be based on a short story that was written by Jvstin Whitney, with the screenplay co-written by director Josh Vargas. here’s the synopsis:

“Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre: The Movie centers on a hairmetal band that is struggling to find its own identity. The members decide to record their first full length album in a creepy cabin located in the middle of a notorious cemetery. Chock-full of weed, coke, and booze, the band discovers a secret in the cellar and unwittingly opens a gate that allows demons to possess the corpses in the surrounding cemetery. Forced to survive the night and with the odds getting slimmer, the band must battle hordes of the demonic undead and hope to get a record deal somewhere in the process.”

Sounds like it has the potential to be a fun, cheesy horror movie, which we could always use more of. You can see Blythe and Vincent appearing in the film above.
