October is looking like a banner month for metal releases. Savannah, GA trio Kylesa just announced that they’d be releasing their 7th full length, Exhausting Fire, on October 2. The band describe the album, recorded at the Jam Room in Columbia SC as “probably the most honest and raw album we’ve ever done.” We’ll have to wait a bit longer to decide that, but until now, we’ve gotten a first taste of the album via “Lost and Confused.” It sounds a little more open and ambient, starting out sounding almost shoegaze-y before guitars and the band’s familiar vocals come in. The band will likely be road-testing a lot of the new album this fall. Check their tour dates out after the song.
