The newest lyric video from Tourniquet is a pretty gruesome affair. The imagery in, “The Slave Ring,” show the horrors of dog fighting and some of the audio clips will break your heart.
Ted Kirkpatrick, Tourniquet’s drummer and lone founding member, spoke about the theme of his latest album:
“What happens to animals — all animals — matters greatly to me. There is currently a powerful awakening happening all across the globe. It is this: that we humans are not the only ones who seek and deserve a life free from cruelty, suffering and oppression. ‘Onward To Freedom’ evokes an overall sense of compassion for all creatures.”
Former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland is on the track, along with For Today vocalist Mattie Montgomery. The track is from Tourniquet’s ninth studio album, Onward to Freedom and came out late last year on Tourniquet’s own Pathogenic Records label.
