It looks like The Osbournes won’t be returning to the reality TV circus after all. Last year Sharon Osbourne said the family would do eight episodes of the show which ended back in 2005. Now, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the whole project has been cancelled.
Said Susan Levison, the Vice President of Original Programming and Production at VH1:
“We are no longer talking to the Osbournes about a series; that’s not going to happen. We wish we could have worked it out, but it just didn’t come together for us. The family has been absolutely lovely and we wish them the best. We’d love to figure out a way to work with them at some point in the future.”
The Osbournes launched on MTV in 2002 and ran for four seasons, winning an Emmy in its first year for “Outstanding Reality Program.” Sharon said in 2009 that during the three year run of the show her husband, “was stoned the whole time. He wasn’t sober for one day.”
