This past Sunday, Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider turned 60, and marked the occasion by posting a topless picture of him and his wife. Don’t get your panties in a bunch, only Snider is topless, and he looks surprisingly buff and, well, not 60 for his age. “This is 60? This IS 60!” he  commented on the tweet he posted. He posted another few tweets of inspiration, also wishing happy birthday to others born in 1955. “Fellow ‘Class of 55’ rockers: We were the 1st born into rock! Fe rock harder! Happy 60th bday to us!” the tweet reads, with Eddie Van Halen, Billy Idol and Angus Young tagged in it. “Thanks to all wishing me a happy 60th today!,” another tweet read. “It’s crazy to think half of my life is over!”

And while he’s pretty charitable to those others that are turning 60 this year, he’s not as kind to KISS, calling them “disgraceful.” What he’s taking issue with is for the band’s decision to include drummer Eric Singer and guitarist Tommy Thayer in the band with the makeup popularized by Peter Criss and Ace Frehley, respectively. “Tommy Thayer? I’m sorry. It’s insulting,” he told Eddie Trunk recently. “Not only did he play with a tribute band of Kiss, he’s imitating Ace in his entire act!” Thayer has officially been in the band since 2002, but wrote on the band’s 1989 album Hot in the Shade and played on Psycho Circus in 1998. Snider’s most upset about the band performing “Shock Me,” a song written and performed by Frehley about getting shocked onstage. “Oh, my God — that’s disgraceful,” he said. “When Kiss replaced Ace and Peter, and they brought in guys [Carr and Vinnie Vincent] who had their own makeup and their own thing, that was acceptable. That was awesome. They were their own characters.” Snider also takes issue with KISS for their 1979 hit “I Was Made for Loving You,” but because it’s a disco song and they still play it live.
