On Sunday (15), at the Agora Theatre in Cleveland OH, a young fan died at the Chelsea Grin, Carnifex, Sworn In and The Family Ruin show. Chelsea Grin initially acknowledged the passing of the fan, Nick Wright, on their Facebook page. “We lost a good friend last night at our show in Cleveland,” a since-deleted post on their page said. According to Lambgoat, a commenter on that thread said “I was there last night. Nick had a seizure and stopped breathing during the opening act and was immediately transported to the E.R. I’m sorry to hear that he has passed.” Wright, who was reportedly 21, traveled from Buffalo to see the show. It’s unfortunate that this happened, and it seems to be completely unrelated to any of the bands, at least initially. A Gofundme page has been set up to help pay for Wright’s medical and funeral expenses. You can donate to it here. Wright’s sister has been posting about her brother’s death and the gofundme page on her Twitter account.

This isn’t the first fan death at a show where Chelsea Grin was playing. In 2012, a fan died while the band was playing at the Warped Tour.
