Devin Townsend scored a nice win this weekend, with The Devin Townsend Project’s latest album, , winning a Juno Award for Metal/Hard Music Album of The Year.

The win came against solid Canadian competition; Waiting for the End to Come by Kataklysm, Brotherhood of the Ram by Shooting Guns, Negative Qualities by Single Mothers, and Chasing the Dream by Skull Fist.

Townsend couldn’t be there to accept the award, as the Devin Townsend Project is currently on tour with Periphery and Shining in Europe, so he posted a Tweet from Prague:

“In Prague tonight. On behalf of my band, management and everyone involved. Thank you for the Juno. Thanks Factor, E1 and the whole deal. :)”

The latest album, a double album that came out on October 27th, 2014, featured some notable guests, including former The Gathering vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen, Stolen Babies’ Dominque Lenore Persi, and Chris Jericho of Fozzy.
