No Devotion, the band consisting of members of Lostprophets and Thursday vocalist Geoff Rickly, have parted ways with their drummer Luke Johnson.
In a statement on the band’s Facebook page:
“A few months back, Luke approached us with the concern that he would be unable to fulfill commitments to No Devotion moving forward. It was sad to hear, because we’ve obviously been on quite the journey together over the past five years. We didn’t say anything publicly, because deep down we hoped he’d change his mind.”
Former Bloc Party drummer Matt Tong took over recording duties in the studio, while Phil Jenkins from Kids in Glass Houses will be handling live performances.
No Devotion announced their formation in mid 2014, not long after vocalist Ian Watkins, who co-founded Lostprophets back in 1997, was sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to 13 charges of child sex charges.
