Deafheaven have made it official; album number three is coming in 2015.
With a single Tweet the San Francisco, CA band has confirmed a follow-up to 2013s Sunbather. This comes after the August release of the track “From the Kettle Onto the Coil,” part of the Adult Swim Summer Singles series.
No word if this new album will be out on Deathwish, but it doesn’t sound like it will be from this Clash interview with vocalist George Clark back in August.
“When we signed with (current label) Deathwish, we didn’t know what we were going to do, and nor did they, but they had a lot of confidence in us. And we’ve developed, now, into a band that’s bigger than a label of that size is able to manage – we know that, and they know that. As for when the next album is out, I couldn’t say for certain, but I’d hope for sometime next year.”
A new album next year, for sure. Now we wait for an actual release date and possibly a new label home for Deafheaven?
