This past Saturday at Riot Fest in Chicago, IL, Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe joined Samhain for the song “All Hell.” On Friday Blythe posted on Instagram that he was pretty stoked for the Samhain performance, but didn’t mention that he’d be joining the band on stage.
“This will be their first full set since ’86, & marks the 30th anniversary of their first EP, Initium, which is about as big an influence on me as any record about there- so pure, & so dark. I AM FREAKING PUMPED BEYOND BELIEF to be witnessing this.”
This isn’t the first time Blythe has performed with Glenn Danzig at Riot Fest — in 2011 he joined him at Riot Fest for the song “Mother Of Mercy.” Recently, in 2013, Randy helped out on “Last Caress” at Wacken Festival.
