Slipknot released an official video for “The Devil In I” today, from their upcoming album, .5: The Gray Chapter. The song is the first official single from the album, due out October 21st on Roadrunner Records. You’ll see that some of the imagery from this video first appeared in the band’s Prepare for Hell Tour 2014 video, released earlier this month.
Said vocalist Corey Taylor of the song, who debuts a very Prometheus-like mask, “It’s more melodic, but it’s dark, [and] it’s powerful, man, It’s something different.” A casting call was issued in August, seeking “human maggots” for the video shoot in L.A., California. You’ll see them in the video wrapped in sacks emblazoned with the Slipknot goat head logos, writhing around in a room with the band. You’ll also see glimpses of a dark haired drummer on occasion. Who could it be? Scroll down for a look at the new guys.
This is the second video from the new album, with “The Negative One” coming out about a month ago.
Update: This could be the bassist.
