While the Slipknot comparison is something that Mushroomhead haven’t been able to shake (even though they’ve been around longer), the band’s new video for “Out of My Mind” brings to mind another theatrical act – Marilyn Manson. The band spend a solid amount of time  appearing at a pulpit like they’re giving a wartime speech, much like Manson does when he performs the title track to his breakthrough album Antichrist Superstar. Both Manson and Mushroomhead appear to take inspiration from another charismatic speaker – some guy named Hitler. The “Out of My Mind” video features World War II-like uniforms, telephones and microphones. It also features some torture scenes. At any rate, the band will be on tour this fall with Insane Clown Posse, if you like masks and makeup. Here’s where the Shockfest tour, which will also feature Da Mafia6ix, Jellyroll and Madchild, will be in September and October.
