The latest video game in the Castle Wolfenstein franchise out today, Wolfenstein: The New Order. As we found out last week, the game features music from Meshuggah guitarist Fredrik Thordendal. Bethesda, who published the game, interviewed Thordendal about contributing music to the game on their blog. He told the company that making music for film or a game was on his wish list, so he jumped at the opportunity. Additionally, the blog is offering a free download of “Herr Faust,” the song he contributed to the game.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is out today and can be ordered here. If the idea of slaying Nazis to instrumental Messhugah-like music created by Thordendal doesn’t sound inspirational to you, we need to have a talk. Download and listen to the song below.
