Judas Priest started teasing fans last week that details regarding their long awaited new album were coming soon. And this morning, the Metal Gods lived up to their promise and unleashed a brand new song and revealed details about the new album.
Titled Redeemer Of Souls, the album will be coming out in the U.S. on July 15 via Epic/Columbia. The band also unleashed the album’s title track, streamable in the video player below. “We are revved up and ready to UNLEASH the PRIEST one more time for our metal fans around the world,” the band said on its website along with the new song, hinting that they still plan to call it a day in the near future.
As for the song itself, “Redeemer Of Souls” will definitely please old-school Priest fans, leaning more towards Screaming For Vengeance era with a splash of Painkiller. It’ll also put those at ease who were afraid at how new guitarist Richie Faulkner would do on record (in other words, he does more than fine!). Give the song a listen for yourself in the video below.
