As promised, Kirk Hammett joined both Exodus and Death Angel at their respective sets at his inaugural Fear FestEvil this past weekend. And unsurprisingly, footage of both performances made its way online. Sure, it wasn’t the first time the Metallica guitarist hopped onstage with both bands in recent years.  But it’s nonetheless cool to see Hammett jamming with two groups he has such a long history with (not only was Hammett an original member of Exodus before leaving to join Metallica in 1983, but also produced Death Angel’s 1986 demo Kill As One). Watch Hammett playing “Piranha” and a cover of Blue Oyster Cult’s “Godzilla” with Exodus (and a dancing Godzilla for the latter song) above, and watch the guitarist playing Metallica’s “Trapped Under Ice” and Black Sabbath’s “Heaven And Hell” with Death Angel below.
