Lamb of God started their European tour in Vienna last night short one member as guitarist Mark Morton is sitting out the first few shows of the tour due to a family emergency. Filling in for Morton is none other than Paul Waggoner from Between The Buried and Me, which, if you’re at all familiar with his work, is a very fine choice indeed. You can watch a video below of the band performing “Walk With Me In Hell” with Waggoner if you so desire.

Randy Blythe explained Morton’s absence to the crowd:

“You may have noticed Mr. Mark Morton is not here with us tonight. He had a family emergency, so he had to stay home. It’s family first for this band. We apologize, but he had to be with his family. Luckily, we have a very big music family, so we’ve got our friend Paul Waggoner from Between The Buried and Me.”

Lamb of God isn’t a stranger having someone helping them out on tour. During the band’s US tour last year, John Campbell also had to step out for a family emergency. We hope all is well with Mark Morton at home.
