Slayer-GlassesSlayer haven’t played Alaska in more than 17 years, and it looks like it’s going to take a little longer for it to happen. The band’s October 22 tour stop in Anchorage, which was scheduled to be their first date on the tour with Gojira and 4Arm, has been postponed due to trucking and air-freighting issues. Instead, the tour will kick off in Las Vegas on October 25. It’s a bummer though, because we hear there’s a lot of snow glare in Alaska, which would have made Anchorage the perfect market to launch the band’s new line of Arnette sunglasses. Yep, never one to back away from a licensing opportunity, the band have partnered with Arnette to make sunglasses and snow goggles. It’s hard to tell whether these are amazing, tacky, or a little bit of both.

While the sunglasses/snow goggles aren’t on sale yet, one company lists them as potentially being available next month. So if you’ve got a metalhead skier that loves Slayer, your holiday shopping just got a little easier.
