ride for dime nashvilleThe Nashville RIDE FOR DIME local benefit show is taking place on October 5th in honor of the mighty Dimebag Darrell Abbott. Proceeds will go toward the nonprofit Ride For Dime, which supports music education for kids and includes a scholarship fund to allow kids to pursue music, as well as tolocal charity Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue.

The show is headlined by  Sevendust, but also features several prominent up and coming bands, including Nashville’s Voodoo Prophet and Hell Head, Scranton’s Digital Collapse, Chicago’s Habit of Force, and Scottsville’s BeyonDuplication.  Also in attendance will be Sirius XM’s Jose Mangin and Luc Carl, “Dimebagz Hag” Rita Haney, Ride For Dime President Rob Eichelberger, Nick Bowcott of Grim Reaper, and Jasin Todd of Shinedown/Fuel.  The event kicks off with a motorcycle parade down to Nashville Center Stage and will also include raffles, silent auctions, and a VIP Meet & Greet opportunity with Sevendust!

If you can make it to the event, tickets are $20 in advance. But if you can’t, the entire evening will be streamed online for a mere $3 at StageIt.com. StageIt will be giving away all kinds of cool stuff for viewers such as autographed event posters, custom-designed Affliction RFD 2013 t-shirts, a show-signed drumhead and one lucky viewer will win a brand new Dean guitar!
