Warbeast, who is set to tour with Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals this summer, has posted a message on their Facebook page saying Canada won’t be among their travels this time around. For reasons left unmentioned, the Texas-bred band said they have been denied access into Canada so are cancelling any scheduled tour dates in the country. Knowing how we all think, the band’s immediate follow-up to the news was “please don’t ask why.”
In place of the cancelled shows, Warbeast is looking to book replacement dates while Anselmo and his band are touring in the country that has temporarily banished their tour mates. Warbeast is asking to book shows in routing between Royal Oak, Mich. and Worcester, Mass., suggesting upstate New York and Ohio as destinations. But if they can’t get shows booked in time, they aren’t sweating it.
Because Warbeast is unable to get into Canada (please don’t ask why)… we are obviously not able to do the 2 Canadian dates with Phil’s new solo band on our upcoming tour with them in August. So we are still looking to add a show or 2 or 3 on those off dates. So if any promoters, bands or whoever out there can help us with booking something… please let us know. The dates we have open are August 10th, 11th and 12th. The shows would have to be somewhere between Royal Oak Michigan (Detroit) and Worcester Massachusetts. So please don’t start offering any shows that are too far out of that route. Look it up on a map if you have to see if it is something that would work for us. Areas like in Ohio or upstate New York might work. I guess if we can’t book anything on those dates we will have a mini-vacation during the tour… which means we will just have to party our asses off… haha!
We have a feeling they’ll be partying their asses off anyway.
