Avenged Sevenfold’s sixth studio album, Hail to the King, will be released on August 27. The title track is not fully available just yet, but the band has released a 30-second sample on their official website and can also be streamed via the YouTube clip below. Maybe because of the chorus, but we got a hint of Manowar from it. At any rate, it’s already better than the album cover.

Hail to the King is be produced by Mike Elizondo (Mastodon, Dr. Dre) and is the first A7x album to be fully written without drummer James “The Rev” Sullivan, who passed away in December of 2009. The drum tracks for the next album have been handled by Arin Ilejay.

Avenged Sevenfold will celebrate the album release by playing a free show at the Hollywood Palladium on August 26.
