Why should major label bands be the only ones who get love? Unsigned & Streamed is a column where we stream a song from an unsigned band we at Metal Insider really dig.

This week, we’re rocking out to Red Hot Rebellion, a trio that hearkens to a time before rock music was considered an art form. Labeling their brand of stripped down, fast paced music ‘The Soundtrack to a Bar Fight”, the group exhibits a raw energy not seen by many rock acts today. So much for ‘thinking man’s music’ – this is ‘drinking man’s music’. Last year, they released a self-titled full length album that was accompanied by a comic book, and now they are back with a 5 track EP out August 27th, entitled Melt the Sky, a name that comes from bassist Jim Tramontana’s interest in nuclear bombs. If you are a fan of such true-to-their-roots rock acts as AC/DC, Airbourne,or Motorhead, check out our exclusive premiere of the song “Alright Alright”, off the upcoming Melt the Sky EP:

Also make sure to check out the video for Melt the Sky’s title track here. The band will be hitting the road for a string of dates that includes Cincinnati Comic-Con in September, at which they will unveil their second comic book. Keep updated by liking the band’s Facebook page or by checking their website.

If you’re in an unsigned band and would like to participate in Unsigned & Streamed, email a link to your band’s music and a brief bio to tips [at] metalinsider.com for consideration.
