From June 20-23, such A-list rockers as former Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley, Disturbed bassist John Moyer, and Scorpions drummer James Kottak will be teaming up in a soon-to-be-legendary “supergroup” named The Foundry to play a run of shows in Texas and Oklahoma. Whether the group will come up with original material or will primarily stick to covers is unknown at this point, as well as whether or not the group will continue activity after their brief stint of shows. Maybe they will play some tunes from Iron Maiden’s ‘X Factor’ or ‘Virtual XI’, which were the bands only albums to feature Bayley. At least he’s getting back into playing music after his former job hawking hair-replacement products. It is also interesting to note that this is the second supergroup that bassist John Moyer is in at the moment, with the other one being Adrenaline Mob.
All joking aside though, the shows are for a good cause: to raise charity money for victims of the recent Oklahoma tornadoes, which claimed the lives of over 20 people and caused extensive property damage.
