Last month, Avenged Sevenfold revealed an interactive old television/radio image on their website. When you played around with the dials, the radio played snippets of songs throughout the band’s career while the video showed a busy signal. With the band posting the hashtag “#itbeginsa7x” along with the website link, it seemed pretty clear that A7X were hinting at a new album’s release. And today, the website finally gave fans a taste of new material.

In addition to the TV clip now showing the band (along with new drummer Arin Ilejay) in the studio recording, the interactive radio now features a snippet of new material from the album [note: it’s unclear if the video and audio clip featuring snippets of the same song or not]. The song clip can be heard by clicking the radio’s center left button and tuning the left dial to “13,″ while the video can be seen by clicking the center right button and tune the right dial to “00.″

Ooorrrrr you could just watch the footage and hear the song clip in the videos below. Unsurprisingly, both the video and song clip have been ripped and posted online, though it likely won’t stay up for long. So check out both below before they’re taken down and/or head over to Avenged Sevenfold’s website and follow the instructions above. The as-yet-titled album, A7X’s first without any contribution from the late Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, is expected to be released later this year.
