Last week, Symphony X revealed that drummer Jason Rullo had been admitted to a hospital for heart failure. After spending a week in the hospital, Rullo was released and began his cardiac rehab program. While he’ll spend a minimum of 3-6 months under doctors’ care, Rullo is expected to make a full recovery.
Rullo offered the following update last night (March 3) via the prog metal group’s Facebook:
“I can’t thank everybody enough for your support in this time. I am overwhelmed by the number of people who have written in on our various media outlets. I can feel the love and again can’t tell you how much it means to me.
I am doing my best to recover and all the positive vibes sure help!
Much love,
Jason”
As mentioned before, Russo is expected to be under doctors’ case for 3-6 months. It remains unclear how exactly this will effect Symphony X’s summer festival plans (though singer Russell Allen will be busy this spring with Adrenaline Mob). Regardless, here’s hoping that Russo has a speedy recovery.
