Just several days into their co-headlining tour with Veil of Maya, The Acacia Strain have announced that due to a van accident, they’re dropping off of the tour. Thankfully nobody was seriously injured, but it’s still enough to make the band tap out of the tour, which will continue on without them. The other bands still on the tour are Upon a Burning Body, Volumes and Twitching Tongues. The picture to the right is from the Facebook page, which is also where the following statement comes from:
It comes with heavy hearts and sadness to announce that The Acacia Strain will be leaving their Co-Headlining tour with Veil Of Maya due to a serious van accident. Members of the band and crew are being treated for minor injuries, nothing serious.
Frontman, Vincent Bennet commented, “Canceling tour dates is something we hate doing but we will make it up to all of you. We are all very grateful to be alive and will see you in the New Year.”
It’s been a pretty brutal year for accidents. According to This or the Apocalypse’s Facebook page, The Acacia Strain’s van was hit from the side “Tis the sesason for some of our best friends unfortunately to be struck with wintery disasters,” their status says. “Acacia Strain just got in another accident, someone T-Boned them doing 80.” It’s encouraging that no one was seriously injured, but that doesn’t help the band -who are now without a van – or the fans that wanted to see them play with Veil of Maya and the others. The remaining tour dates are after the jump.
