Other than the novelization of their current album Clockwork Angels, Rush will soon have one more way to be remembered by. Frontman Geddy Lee commented on the upcoming RockWalk induction of his legendary band.

The invite-only RockWalk induction will take place on November 20 at the Guitar Center on Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard and will feature a guest speaker as well as a live show by the influential band itself. Lee is looking forward to the event:

We are very pleased to have been chosen by our peers and fellow musicians for induction in Guitar Center’s RockWalk. It is an honor to have our names added to this illustrious list of great and highly talented musicians.

Dave Weiderman, Chairman of Guitar Center’s RockWalk, is just as excited about the idea of the band being inducted after almost thirty years of existence. Thus, Rush is being added to other influential bands in the history of rock ‘n’ roll, Blues and R&B like Eric Clapton, George Martin, Jimmy Page, Iron Maiden, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, Van Halen, AC/DC and Aerosmith to name but a few.
