Adam Poch, Big Brother 13’s “Heavy Metal Teddy Bear” and known metalhead, will be recapping the week in Big Brother 14’s current season for as long as former Kittie bassist Jenn Arroyo remains on the show. As long as Jenn’s in the game, Adam will weigh in. You can also follow him on Twitter at @heavymetalteddy.

*** WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS NOT YET AIRED ON CBS ***
As we come to the end of the first week of Big Brother – our METAL Goddess Jenn Arroyo has been able to stay out of most of the chaos going on around her. It’s almost like she is standing on the island in the middle of a huge circle pit. While most of the other players are trying to establish themselves as big “players” Jenn is just chillin. She has not caused or been in the middle of all the drama, and trust me, this has been the most drama filled first week in Big Brother history. Tomorrow night we will see if one of her allies Frank goes home, or if 2006 Playboy Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco is set packing. Staying under the radar early is a good move, and there is a lot of game still to be played. In the next few weeks, she will have to step up her game if she is going to win, but for now she is taking the Queensryche approach by “Walk(ing) in the Shadows”

For the first time in Big Brother history, ex players were brought back but not to be players, but to act as mentors / coaches to the new Houseguests. Jenn was picked by Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin, who was on Big Brother 2, and was the winner of Big Brother All-Stars. On paper, this looks like a complete mismatch. Jenn having her roots in the NYC Heavy Metal scene, and Boogie is part owner in the trendy restaurant group Dolce – which has locations in LA, Reno, and Atlanta.

Jenn did not do too well in the first Head of Household competition, and had to be swapped out after taking too long to get across the mattress’ and retrieve a teddy bear. These challenges look fun and easy at home, but trust me, they are much harder as you try and do them live. Luckily her team did not come in last place. One of the members of the last place team was evicted THAT NIGHT. Boogie was trying to fire her up by yelling “There’s a plane leaving for JFK tonight, do you want to be on it.”

Boogie’s nemesis on All-Stars is fellow mentor / coach Janelle Pierzina. This could cause trouble for Jenn, as Janelle still has a lot of hate towards him and will have her team try and knock out his team. But as fans of Big Brother know – things change in the house all the time, and as the power shifts, so do allies and enemies. Will Jenn be caught in the crossfire – or will she be able to dodge the bullets? Tune in to Big Brother on CBS every Thursday, Sunday and Wednesday to find out.
