Only two weeks after becoming a first-time father, Jack Osbourne has been dealt some devastating news, as he was told that he’d been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The 26 year-old opens up in an interview with People, stating “I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, ‘why now?’ I’ve got a family and that’s what’s supposed to be the most important thing.” Having MS doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll be debilitated, as many with MS suffer only mild problems. However, there’s no cure for the disease yet.
As the son of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Jack was initially only known by Ozzy fans, as he’d helped advise his parents on bands to book for the Ozzfest, as well as doing some A&R for Epic Records. Once cameras were turned on the family in 2002 for the MTV reality show, The Osbournes, Jack became a celebrity until the show was canceled three years later. Somehow, the show won an Emmy in 2002. After that, he hosted another show, Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie, and most recently, directed and produced 2011’s God Bless Ozzy Osbourne.
