Fans who saw Guns N’ Roses in Indianapolis Thursday night (December 8 ) were in for a treat. Not only did Guns N’ Roses whip out a cover of AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie,” but they were also joined onstage by Black Label Society frontman/shredder Zakk Wylde. The performance occurred during one of the handful of shows that BLS served as openers for.
Wylde’s guest appearance onstage with Axl Rose also gives one a look at what might have happened if the guitarist joined the band in 1995 (or at least stayed in GN’R for more than a few jam sessions). While it’s anyone’s guess as to how long Wylde would’ve lasted in the group if he had officially joined, it’s still pretty cool to see Axl on the same stage as the former Ozzy guitarist, even for just one AC/DC cover.
You can check out fan filmed footage of Guns N’ Roses performing “Whole Lotta Rosie” with Zakk Wylde above and after the jump.
