Dragonforce were originally supposed to make their U.S. live debut with new singer Mark Hudson in L.A. early last week. Due to an illness, though, the show was canceled at the last minute. However, the U.K. power metal group kept their word and performed their previously scheduled shows in Toronto and New York City. And also as promised, the band gave fans a taste of new music.
During both shows, the band performed two new songs called “Cry Thunder” and “Last Fallen World” during their first North American shows in over two years. Though they’ve performed “Cry Thunder” live this past Summer outside the U.S., it would appear that these two shows marked the first time they’ve played “Last Fallen World” on stage.
You can watch fan filmed footage of Dragonforce performing “Cry Thunder” in New York City at the Gramercy Theater this past Friday (October 21) above, while clips of them performing “Last Fallen World” (both in New York and Toronto on October 20) after the jump.
