Swedish melodic death metal outfit Arch Enemy have fueled widespread speculation after sharing a cryptic teaser hinting at the identity of their new vocalist. The band, which parted ways with longtime singer Alissa White-Gluz in November 2025 after nearly 12 years, recently posted a mysterious social media clip suggesting an upcoming reveal. Beyond the teaser itself, both Arch Enemy and former vocalist Angela Gossow, who stepped down as the band’s singer in 2014, have blacked out their profile images, with Gossow’s Instagram now featuring the cryptic clip as its only post, prompting immediate rumors about a possible return.

While no official confirmation has been made regarding the band’s next singer, speculation that the mystery vocalist could be Gossow, who led the band from 2000 to 2014 before transitioning into a management role, has been difficult to ignore.

Gossow originally endorsed White-Gluz as her successor when she departed in 2014, calling the transition a passing of the torch. Now, more than a decade later, fans are watching closely to see whether that torch may be returning to its previous holder. For now, Arch Enemy remain silent on the identity of their new vocalist, leaving speculation to build as anticipation grows.
