Trondheim’s revered Terratur Possessions has confirmed the release of Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne!’s long-awaited self-titled debut record for February 20th. Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne! features an unsurpassed supergroup lineup of T.Skei, or “Cernunnus,” (Manes, Manii, Syning, Lethe) on guitars and synths, K.Rambech (Whoredom Rife, Bloodthorn, Parfaxitas) on vocals, E.Blix (Mare, Djevel, Black Majesty, Dark Sonority, Vemod, ex-Kaosritual, ex-Grenjar) on choral duties, and B.Kråbøl (Misotheist, Enevelde, Kråbøl) on drums.
Skei, my most highly recommended composer, is correctly regarded as one of black metal’s best and most important pioneers; only his other projects can compare to the genius of Manes, which helped define the genre. K.R., a longtime friend of Skei, remains one of the movement’s top frontmen. The same applies to Mr. Blix, a key figure in the construction of the Nidrosian Black Metal scene, which, of course, drew inspiration from both Manes and Bloodthorn. Finally, Kråbøl has, in my view, certainly established himself as the finest black metal artist of his generation — perhaps the movement’s last true torchbearer.
Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne! was conceived by Skei and began morphing into a group effort when he reached out to K.R. with riffs and ideas that conjured the essence of the early ’90s, the ancient spirit of Trondheim, and overflow with timeless magic. Miraculously, the 9-song Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne! manages to stand apart from all created hitherto. Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne! easily equates to one of the greatest, darkest, and most unbearably frightening black metal albums of all time, and Skei is set to become the MVP of 2026 with two other indescribably brilliant masterpieces.
In 2025, Terratur Possessions forged an alliance with Germany’s Amor Fati Productions. Thus, head over to Amor Fati’s website here to pre-order Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne! on CD and vinyl. Also make sure to treat yourself and your loved ones to band T-shirts — Heresie Studio provided the stunning artwork that should adorn your home and chest. US customers can purchase Diabolus merchandise through Silent Future Distribution here. The same links will additionally help you procure Misotheist’s upcoming De Pinte.
Continue to monitor Terratur Possessions for updates, humor, and rip-off warnings. The label recently presented audiences with the superbly organized and curated fourth edition of Caerimonia Nidrosiæ Festival, which showcased leading outfits like Dold Vorde Ens Navn. Notably, this year, Caerimonia Nidrosiæ hosted a tribute to the legendary Steingrim Torson Brissach with the likes of Vemod and Selvhat as well as a set dedicated to Nidrosian Black Metal with Black Majesty; Kaosritual; One Tail, One Head; Black Majesty; and Celestial Bloodshed.
