Telling Secrets, led by Vik Kovacs, have unleashed their Halloween-inspired video for “Crazy.” Just in time for the spooky season, Vik has teamed up with Metal Insider to share his five most terrifying Halloween horror films in celebration of the new single’s release.
Alien Romulus
I am a sci-fi guy, so I tried to limit the sci-fi horrors in this list but anything Alien or Predator could have easily made it.. with the exception of a few like Predator 2018…! I used to have the action figures as a kid and am still a huge, huge fan.
Nosferatu
The new film was great! I loved the cinematography and the history behind it was very interesting. It particularly resonated with me as I am Hungarian, and most of the film was based in Transylvania! There’s a rabbit hole you can go down and read about…
Scream
Partially due to how iconic Ghostface is, but also a really unexpected plot (for me anyway) the first time I saw it. I also thought Scream VI was a fun watch in the cinema in 4D with the seat vibrating and moving every time someone got stabbed on screen!
The Blair Witch Project
One of the first ‘scary’ films I was shown. I just remember this really unsettling feeling it gave me. I wanted to keep watching but turn it off at the same time. I think that’s the feeling a horror film should be leaving you with..!?
Paranormal Activity
I just really like the concept. I think it’s such a raw and organic feeling that it really does frighten you. The first one came out when I was 10 so I might be leaning into the nostalgia a bit too much but I remember thinking this is the scariest thing ever!
