September 05, 2025 Release Highlights:

Boy Commandos, Comet (FU):
Fucked Up guitarist Mike Haliechuk takes center stage on his solo debut, which the Bandcamp description says “eschew[s] the world-whipping, mythologising, guitar pageantry of Fucked Up for a direct line to some glorious mixtape on which Evan Dando is fronting a band that travelled in time from The Replacements discography to have their record released on Good Vibrations.”

The London Suede, Antidepressants (BMG):
The UK rockers’ tenth studio album was described by frontman Brett Anderson as “broken music for broken people,” saying “It’s about the tensions of modern life, the paranoia, the anxiety, the neurosis. We are all striving for connection in a disconnected world.”

Glenn Hughes, Chosen (Frontiers):
The former Deep Purple vocalist/bassist returns with his first solo album in nine years. Said Hughes of writing the album, “I went back to my life drawing board, writing about the human condition, love, hope, faith and acceptance.”

Blessthefall, Gallows (Rise):
For their seventh studio album (their first in seven years), the metalcore band took their time to make a record they were excited about. Said frontman Beau Bokan, “Every song you hear on this album was written from a place of excitement and freedom and you can hear that shine on every track. From the visceral screams over some of the most disgustingly heavy parts we’ve ever written to the massive sing-along choruses, there’s something for everyone.”

Primal Fear, Domination (Reigning Phoenix):
Following a shake-up in their line-up last year, the prolific power metal band returns with its 15th studio effort. According to a description from Reigning Phoenix, the new album “leaves nothing to be desired – including high speed tracks such as the single ‘Far Away,’ stomping mid-tempo anthems and even an instrumental track – and shows the band led by founding members Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (lead vocals) stronger and more varied than ever.”
