Norwegian prog-metal veterans Green Carnation have released “The Shores of Melancholia.” The single is the title track from their upcoming album A Dark Poem, Part I: The Shores of Melancholia, scheduled to arrive on September 5, 2025, via Season of Mist. Marking the beginning of an ambitious trilogy, the track explores themes of disillusionment and inner dystopia, blending somber atmospheres. Green Carnation will debut the album live at ProgPower USA and host a Bandcamp listening party on August 20.
