August 1, 2025 Release Highlights:

The Armed, The Future Is Here and Everything Needs to Be Destroyed (Sargent House):
The hardcore band goes for “raw expression and urgency” on their latest album, as singer Tony Wolski describes it as “music for a statistically wealthy population that somehow can’t afford food or medicine—endlessly scrolling past vacation photos, gym selfies, and images of child amputees in the same feed. It reflects the dissociation required just to exist in that reality.”

Fit For a King, Lonely God (Solid State):
The deathcore band’s eighth studio effort finds them at their most collaborative and free. Said frontman Ryan Kirby in a press release, “Lonely God is the result of us writing with no agendas. We didn’t care about which song could be viral, or if we needed radio tracks, etc. We just wrote what we wanted, for the first time, in a really long time.”

MOTHS, Septem (Independent):
The Puerto Rican metal band’s third album features songs inspired by the seven deadly sins and include “stronger influences from death and black metal” than their previous work.

The Warlocks, The Manic Excessive Sounds Of (Cleopatra):
The psych-rockers’ latest album runs the songwriting gambit, with its Bandcamp description saying it “splits its running time between emotionally engrossing, traditionally arranged songs and improv-heavy, loosely structured jams Warlocks fans know and love!
