Last night (July 12), Anthrax unveiled the cover artwork for their long awaited album Worship Music. While we agree with our buds at Metal Sucks that it does share a slight resemblance to 2003’s We’ve Come For You All, we don’t care. The artwork looks awesome!
As you all know by now, Worship Music has storied history (we’d call having to bring in your old singer to re-record an entire album after your singer bails/get’s fired a bit dramatic, wouldn’t you?). Ever since Anthrax released “Fight ‘Em Till You Can’t” (which also came with pretty rad artwork) as a free download, though, our interest in the album went from “let’s hope for the best” to “HOLY CRAP, I’M SO EXCITED FOR THE NEW ALBUM!” And now this new album cover has upped our excitement just a little more.
Worship Music will finally come out on September 13 (a day before the Big 4’s Yankee Stadium show, how convenient) via Megaforce Records.
