Infectious Grooves have shared rehearsal footage with former Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg as they gear up for their 2024 tour. Weinberg joined the funk metal band after parting ways with Slipknot three months ago and was jamming with the reunited group.
Infectious Grooves, formed by now-Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Suicidal Tendencies’ Mike Muir over three decades ago, has lined up two U.S. shows in March before heading to Australia in later that same month and into early April. Weinberg replaced Brooks Wackerman, who is currently committed to Avenged Sevenfold, for the upcoming gigs.
Infectious Grooves expressed excitement over having Weinberg on board for the tour, while Weinberg himself expressed his honor to play with the legendary band in Australia. The 2024 lineup also includes Suicidal Tendencies’ Dean Pleasants and ex-Velvet Revolver’s Dave Kushner.
