We caught up with Colombian melodic death metallers Eshtadur who we just reflected on their appearance at the 2023 voyage of 70000tons of Metal as vocalist guitarist Jorg August revealed his three kittens are eager to play guitar.
Tell us more about your pet(s) and their names?
Hey, This is Jorg August from Eshtadur, thanks for having me here today!!! Oh well… About my kittens, they are a very special triplet of weird cats really, Nebula and Nova are brothers (male black cats) but they are totally different, Nova is a dominant boy who thinks he is a dog sometimes because he is always welcoming at the door, or getting cautious with other animals outside, I think I almost heard barking someday, he hates to be hugged, but he loves to be on the spot. While Nebula behaves like a ghost, you barely see it anywhere, he is always hidden, and you can do whatever you want with him, he does not care if you hold it, throw it, or hug him, and he is always doing something malicious. The third cat (Seya) is the prince of the house, he is a gray male and a very big cat that arrived at my window one day, he does everything in slow motion, is very aware of everything, and does not like radical noises or movements, he does not allow everyone to hug him, only when he wants and who he likes, and he is insanely strong.. He hates baths
Have you ever taken your pet on tour?
Ohh no, I can’t. That would be crazy. I respect them so much that they can live in a stable environment. I try not to move from one place to another, and I prefer to be absent.
Who looks after your pet while on the road?
My ex used to do so, sometimes I ask my mother to help me out or a close friend. I wish I could be in both places, home, and touring hehehe.
What’s your pet’s favorite song or album?
I want to think they like Huun Huur tu, because that kind of music turns me into a very relaxed and chill out mood, so they vibe with that. When I play heavy metal they can get excited and play everywhere.
How did you introduce your pet to metal?
They enjoy it when I am playing my guitar, they want to be around, they even want to play with them and forced me to stop being busy with the guitar
What animal charity means most to you?
The one that you do by yourself, outside my house there are 8 or more cats that live in the forest, but they always come to visit and eat some food, some of them get home when I know some friend capable of doing so, otherwise, I like to be around them and provide some food, sometimes some medicine when they are injured because they fight a lot for their territory and females.
